The band that was born out of a dare - The band that was ran out of their village - The band that dare not speak its own name - The band with more shoes than braincells - The band with more gold records in Albania than any other - The band that kidnaps Elvis impersonators and then teaches them to dance - ... Just some of the stories surrounding the 'potatos. Whilst the boys neither confirm nor deny these stories/ accusations, the music speaks for itself: beautiful, savage, humorous, contageous.
"Smuggling Drugs" was their debut single, and the follow-up "Pokey Pokey Nosecandy Y'allknowwhattimeitis Hanky-panky" would have to be one of the most often mispelt titles in the world. The band is enjoying mediocre success in parts of Siberia, and is planning to visit Australia in late 2004.
This song helped popularise the by now traditional "looking-for-drugs-in-the-anus" dance routine.
