Hailing from East Azerbaidjan, this duo have, to date, released 8435 albums, all of them exceptionally hard to hear. Electric Waynewtonland are not to blame for this though: East Azerbaidjan is a very poor country and all records there are released pressed on wood.
Obviously the economic ruin of their country is no barrier for these two as they keep churning out their own brand of mellow "am-I-falling-asleep-or-just-waking-up-or-maybe-I've-gone-deaf-and-blind" music.
The profits (?) from their efforts are channeled into the Azerbaidjani Electric Waynenewtonland Foundation for Undertalented Musicians, which awards an annual cash prize for musos in need. So far Electric Waynewtonland have won the prize five times.
This track is from their last LP, "Spitting at Spoonerists", soundtrack to the movie of the same name, nominated for an Oscar for Most Foreign Film in 2003.
